Lost on the steamship Rappahannock, of Liverpool.

George William Hall was born at Hartlepool in 1855, to parents William and Margaret Hall.

The 1871 Census shows William (a Shipwright), and Margaret living at No.6, Northgate Street, Hartlepool, with their five children; Thomas (aged 20, Engine Fitter), George William (15, General Labourer), Elizabeth Jane (13), John (10), and Rose Ann (7).

George married Margaret Ann Hanson (date unknown), and were living at No.80, Milton Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, at the time of George's death.
