What we know about this image :
The photo was taken in the mid 1960s and shows the Nitrovic building and silos on Middleton Road, a view which would now be obscured from this angle by the large office buildings in Middleton Road. The Middleton Road swing bridge can clearly be seen across the dock.
On the left, a pile of timber can be seen on the Ballast Quay and this is where the Premier Inn and Old West Quay pub now stand.
