Bullfield and Victory Square

What we know about this image :

Taken at an event in the centre of town in the 1950s or perhaps before. The Salvation Army are in the foreground in Victory Square, but there are crowds watching whatever is going on in Victoria Road.

In front of the crowd on the bullfield, are the huts which were used for a nursery. The large building behind that to the left is the Boys' Technical High School and the one to the right is the Town Hall.
