Pattison's caption on this image was 'The Village Fathers.' Standing outside Ambrose Storer's General Dealers the tallest of the men is George Burlinson and the postman is Henry Storer born about 1848. The gent in the shop doorway is possibly Bowser Simms. The dealers is now numbers 30 and 31 The Front.
