Townsmen v Fishermen - 1913

What we know about this image :

The Hartlepool Fishermen's football team on Easter Monday 1913 for a game against the 'Townies'. The tradition of wearing the top hats came from Scarborough where they were first worn at a fund-raising match following the loss of two sailing smacks. There could be quite a few Scarborough fishermen in this photograph, as many of them worked out of Hartlepool.
