Went missing after leaving Waterford on April 11th, 1874 bound for Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

Voyages: she made three voyages to New Zealand, her best run being 120 days to Auckland returning to Britain with wool; 6 October 1858 sailed from London bound for Wellington arriving on 7 February 1859, making the passage in 126 days. She landed 83 passengers & 12 Saxony sheep; 5 March 1859 sailed from Gravesend with 21 passengers arrived at Port Chalmers on 6 July, 1860, a passage of 126 days. The master stated the long voyage was because of unusually light winds until reaching the Cape where she had to put in for water; April 1861 Dundee for Foo-Chow-Foo; 1863 London for India; July 1865 at Woosung; January 1866 at Penang; July 1867 arrived Waterford from Quebec.
Kinnaird sailed from Waterford in ballast & with a crew of 13 on 11 April 1874 bound for Bridgewater, Nova Scotia & was not heard from again.
