Voyages: from Hartlepool for Galatz she struck the east pier at Ramsgate on 17 March 1859 causing a great deal of damage to her starboard side.
The Tzamados sailed from Hull in early October 1865 with a crew of 13 & arrived at Boulogne where she unloaded her cargo & took another for Dunkirk. At that port she loaded 7,400 20 stone bags of flour for Liverpool. She then sailed into a storm with heavy waves buffeting the ship. At first the master thought to run for Dungeness but, when water was discovered in the hold, they headed for Sandown Bay on the Isle of Wight. Before they could reach their destination the water began to gain rapidly & as she did not have water tight compartments the engine room flooded & the fires were extinguished. The master took the decision to abandon ship on 30 October 1865. With difficulty the ship’s boat was launched & the crew reached Shanklin the following morning. No lives were lost.
