Fate

Bound from Dantzic for West Hartlepool with a cargo of oak sleepers & a crew of 18 Annan was stranded & wrecked during a thick fog on Klockfoten Reef in the Kattegat on 10 January 1884. The subsequent inquiry found that there had been errors of judgement on the part of the master & advised him to be more careful in the future.
