Persia - a general history

Masters: 1863-64 G Greig; 1864 William Taylor Salmon (C.N.10908 London 1854).

With 27 Europeans & about 120 natives on board Persia foundered in a hurricane at the mouth of the river off Sandheads, near Calcutta on Wednesday, 5 October 1864. The India SS Co steamer Orissa picked up two lascars who were the only survivors.
