Charlotte was mother to Harold Whiteside 1903-1988. When Harold's father died in 1905 both he and his mother lived in Charles Street with George Watkins and his wife. They continued living there after George's death with his widow Hannah Watkins(nee Pearce).

Born 1849 in Sunderland he was apprenticed 1865-69 as a merchant seaman to Joseph Hill of Hartlepool on the brig"Safeguard"on voyages to the Baltic including St. Petersburg, taking coal out and bringing timber back.From at least 1876 he lived at 19 Charles Street where he died in 1919

Harold married Isabella in 1933(Bella not in this photo) and lived thereafter in Bromley Kent and Staffordshire where he died in 1988.
The Gillespie family were in Hartlepool from the 1860s in William Street and George Street. Annie Gertrude Gillespie( nee Cartwight 1869-1950) is probably on the right of the photograph. Her husband Thomas Gillespie(1861-1906) had been a railway shunter and his father Luke91837-1909) had worked for the Hartlepool Brewery as a drayman.
