At that time, Thomas Morgan Hill, of West Hartlepool was serving on the SS. Moorby. The ship was in the vicinity were Amelia's plane had gone missing. The Captain of the ship received a marconigram from The Daily Mirror asking for a personal story of the
rescue mission.
