Making Smoke

What we know about this image :

A steam drifter making her way out to sea, the smoke from her funnel partly obscuring a Hartlepool Pilot Boat behind her. Former Hartlepool Pilot Bert Spaldin suggests the Pilot vessel might be the Premier, hired from January 1924 until January 1925, when the T.H. Tilly arrived from her builders in Aberdeen, the previous boat, Seaflower, having been condemned.
