What we know about this image :
Probably taken in the late 1980s, the view is of much loved,familiar and long gone shops which were very much local businesses. Frank Wright's stationer,toy shop and bookseller is evident on the left. Next to it is Unity House which sold beautiful baby clothes and just past the walkway between the shops is Argosy shoe shop where many will remember having their feet carefully measured when they were children.
