Wilfred Hood Davison was born in Hartlepool and baptised at St. Hilda's Church on January 14th, 1894, to parents John and Ann Davison, their address at this time given as No.10, Chapel Street, Hartlepool.
His parents, John (a Fisherman) and Ann Harrison Davison (nee Richardson), had married at St. Hilda's Church on May 16th, 1877. John's father (Pounder Davison), was also a Fisherman, and his wife Ann's was a Shipwright. Thomas Claxton and Sarah Ann Davison were the Witnesses.
The 1911 Census shows John (now a Pilot), and Ann living at No.10, Chapel Street, Hartlepool, withsix children; Elizabeth Ann (aged 25), Hannah Jane (21, Domestic Servant), Richard (19, Apprentice Shipwright), Wilfred Hood (17, Apprentice Pilot), Oswald (15), and Eve Agnes (10).
Wilfred appears not to have married, and Memorial records give his parents address (No.20, Chapel Street), at the time of his death.
