Robert Story was born West Hartlepool on May 27th, 1883, to parents William Taylor (a Master Mariner), and Jane Annie Story (nee Rudd), and baptised at All Saints Church, Stranton, West Hartlepool, on June 17th, 1883.
His parents were married at All Saints on November 3rd, 1878. William was Ship's Mate at this time; his father is recorded as a Builder. Jane's father, Thomas, is recorded as a Plumber. Thomas Rudd and Annie Gibson were the Witnesses.
Robert married Elizabeth Wright (date unknown), and were living at No.13, Blackwellgate, Darlington, at the time of Robert's death.
