In October 1967, as the Cyprus-owned Marianella, she sailed from Houston bound for Calcutta with a cargo of sulphate of ammonia. Suffering a number of engine breakdowns and leaking badly, she reached Cape Town in June 1968 where her voyage came to an end. In December, she left port under tow bound for Vado Ligure, Italy, where she arrived on March 6th, 1969 to be broken-up.
