Loss: Vessel stranded on Punta Sagres Rock near Cape Corrabedo, Spain on the 1st January 1884 whilst on a voyage from Sulina (Rumania) to Rotterdam with a cargo of Wheat & Rye. A board of trade enquiry found that the vessel had not been navigated “with proper & seamanlike care”,& finding the Master, John Lennard of Whitby in default. Suspended his certificate for 3 months. The crew were all saved.
