An image taken from one of a number of glass plate negatives found in Frank Wright's shop in York Road, in the 1960s. This was taken in the early 1900s after Gray Peverell store, later Binns, was built in 1902.
Many of the plates however are believed to originate from the 1890s.

The Wesley Church opened in 1872. After closing as a church in 1973, it was briefly re-opened as a nightclub in the early 2000s, but is again now unused.
