Hurdy Gurdy man - 1888

What we know about this image :

The Italian Hurdy Gurdy man in Lawson Road outside Pattison's house. He is showing the children a bird in a cage. The bird is perhaps mechanical as the vendor appears to be using his right hand to wind a lever. Note one of the girls has a hula hoop.
