The twin-screw 'D'-class "turtle-back" destroyer HMS Coquette was mined and sunk in the North Sea, on March 7th, 1916. Twenty-one of her crew were lost, including Stoker 2nd Class Sydney Bradley from Stranton, West Hartlepool.
