A group of four soldiers, probably part of the Heugh Battery Garrison. 

Girls on the High School field which is now the nursery playground near the Elwick Road end of Eldon Grove School.

Taken from the same place as one in 1968 of a group of girls. In 1961, a large new wing of the school was built out from the left side of the building.

Three nurses on the steps of Cameron's Hospital.

Probably in the 1950s, the nurse on the right is Joan Hamerski (nee Bolton). The lodge behind the nurses still exists although the hospital on the left has made way for a housing development.

In the background are the houses in Hart Lane now obscured from this angle by the bungalows on Serpentine Bank.

A street party around the late 1940s-early 1950s, possibly in the Tristram Avenue area. The large flag with the diamond shape on it, is probably a ship's signal flag, letter "F", meaning 'I am disabled - communicate with me'. The background of the flag is white and the diamond red.
