Woolworth 3d and 6d store
Donated by Douglas FerridayThe image shows that the building was built in 1884 and was called Osborne house. As on the 1960s photo, True Form shoes was to the right . Among some of the items for 6d are fire irons and another advert says ' nothing in these stores over 6d'.
There is a sign on the lamp post pointing to the LNER station.
