This school opened in 1890 in Pease Street (renamed Lynnfield Road in 1967) and the original school closed in 1980 when a new Lynnfield School was opened in Grosvenor Street nearby.

More detail »Junior School Cup and League Winners, 1939. Jim Wilson was vice-captain and wicket keeper. Beresford (Berry) Husband was known as an outstanding junior cricketer. Jackie Kinnersley went on to own a chain of local bakers' shops. He had a shop on King Oswy Drive when Jim Wilson and his family lived at 7 Bournemouth Drive, Hart Station, in the early Sixties.
