Prints are dated October 1937 and the new houses and road is possibly the Easington Road end of Jesmond Gardens. The land on the right is Grayfields. The reverse says 'coming into West Hartlepool from the north' and the Hartlepool and West Hartlepool border was slightly to the north of Jesmond Gardens.
