Brierton School. The boys' department was officially opened in March 1958 and the girls' in March 1959.
The building became part of Brierton Comprehensive School in 1973 before closing in 2009. Children were absorbed into other schools. It was in the main demolished in 2013 although a small part remains and extensive all weather football pitches stand in front of it beside Catcote Road.
Grayfields & The Pavillion
Donated by Brierton SchoolBrierton School Sports' Day
Grayfields Pavilion is fondly remembered by many Rugby Clubs and players in the town and in North East England complete with its Spartan accommodation especially the oil lamps!
It had been used by the majority of Rugby Clubs in the town as they became homeless at some time in their history.
TDSOB still use playing fields at the Ground, they moved from the Pavillion to their new Clubhouse in 1986.
