Fate
In convoy HG-76 on a voyage from Lisbon for Oban with a general cargo including wood, base metal & foodstuffs & a total complement of 42 Ruckinge was torpedoed by German submarine U-108 (Klaus Scholtz) & sank about 300 miles off Lisbon on 19 December 1941. Master Walter Albert Ross. Three hands were lost.
