Left Archangel on 3 October 1888 on a voyage for Amsterdam with a cargo of 1,100 tons of wood & a crew of 18. Struck the sand on Schiermonikoog Island off the coast of Holland on 12 October 1888. The master, George W. Hunter, was found to be in default having not verified his position & his certificate was suspended for six months.
Founded in 1874 by Robert Ropner, the company owned, managed & built ships.
