In convoy RU-71 Rosenborg left Reykjavik on 22 April 1943 on a voyage for Belfast & Swansea in ballast with 30 persons on board, including 4 gunners & 2 passengers, & was torpedoed (U-386 Hans Albrecht Kandler) & sank in 61.00N/15.00W on 24 April 1943. 2 survivors were picked up by British rescue ship Goodwin. 2 passengers, 4 gunners, the master & 21 of the crew lost.
