Left Alexandria on 9 June 1942 on a voyage for Tobruk with a cargo of cased benzene & a compliment of 50 & was torpedoed by German submarine U-81 (Friedrich Guggenberger) & sank 50 miles W of Alexandria on 10 June 1942. Master George Christopher Pearson. 20 lives were lost.
