Tralee Chroncicle 11 January 1845: Loss of the Alicia –Swansea, January 3rd -The fine new barque Alicia of that port has been lost on her homeward voyage, and that all hands perished. Five wives have been made widows in Swansea by the melancholy event. The Alicia’s cargo (copper ore) was valued at ten thousand pounds. Master Jacob Jack.
